Having experienced the challenges of transitioning from a 20-year career teaching accounting to career counselling, I am taking on a new challenge in launching this blog. The evidence is clear. Fewer and fewer of us can expect our work lives to be a series of predictable promotions with one employer or even in the same field. That leaves the rest of us with the need to face the employment marketplace more and more frequently. That marketplace demands more and more from job seekers, and the resources provided through government-funded agencies are continually curtailed. In this blog, I will share what I have learned and point the way to the best and most relevant  resources on the internet and in print for those who are repositioning themselves. Sooner or later, that is likely to include most of us, whether that be as new immigrants or 50+ workers looking to move to a more junior position or a mother returning to work after raising a family.

It would be great to hear from you, whether you have a question, comment, suggestion for a topic for a future blog post, or just want to get acquainted!
